ITHA Finance and Administration
Financial accountability and transparency are key to running a successful organization. ITHA is committed to being financially accountable to its members and funders, and is widely viewed as a very credible organization. Our Finance staff is composed of a team of four, including a Comptroller and three Financial Clerks and Assistants. This team administers the annual ITHA budget of approximately $10 million. All aspects of recognized accounting practices are followed in the day-to-day management of receivables, accounts payable and payroll.

CATARACT SURGERY
If you are having cataract surgery, it is important to discuss the option of using the hard intra-ocular lens ( IOL ) or the soft foldable intra-ocular lens with your Ophthalmologist before your surgery. Under BC Medical the hard Intra-ocular lens for lens replacement surgery is covered, and the soft foldable lens is elective. As the intra-ocular lens is an insured item under the Provincial Health Plan, it is an exclusion through the Non Insured Health Benefits program. The approximate cost for these lenses is $300.00 for each eye and the cost will be the responsibility of the client.
