Electronic Medical Record (EMR)
|
Imagine an innovation that will allow health care professionals to access essential patient heath information, where and when they need it. Rather than searching for information in different files—some paper, some digital—on various systems, community health care professionals will be able to access a patient’s health information through electronic health records or EHRs. |

Available, legible and easy to use charting, disease management, pregnancy tracking, medication management, family care, health care program tracking, provider alerts, and so on.
A part of an (E)lectronic (H)ealth (R)ecord, an EMR is the foundation that ties the continuum of care together. One of the most compelling reasons to move from paper to digital is the ability to record every piece of client data in one place. Life threatening drug or allergic reaction can be more easily responded to by health care professionals in this format. |
